Uthingo is a 51% black female owned Level 2, Empowerment Business Incubator.
The management team of Uthingo have a wealth of experience in B-BBEE related matters having worked in many B-BBEE service provider fields such as Verification Agencies, Skills Development Providers and B-BBEE Consulting Firms. Having this experience has equipped the team with a unique understanding of how real empowerment should be executed for maximum value to both the beneficiary and client. We strive to provide impactful and meaningful business input for small majority black owned entities as a way for our clients to also realise the B-BBEE benefits of their initiatives.
Uthingo ensures that true empowerment is being passed on to the beneficiaries. We achieve this by running our initiatives as a business incubator where beneficiaries are offered relevant training on various business management topics. Beneficiaries will receive support from various 3rd party providers in various professional services fields.
Our aim is to ensure that beneficiaries are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to start, run and/or scale their businesses in order to promote employment as well as contribute to the country’s economic growth.

IDENTIFY AND RECRUIT
QUALIFYING BENIFICIARIES
Uthingo has a database of previously vetted and qualifying beneficiaries in various industries. Our pre-vetted beneficiaries are in a position to receive qualifying ESD grants and non-monetary contributions with a view of creating employment as well as joining client supplier lists. Uthingo is in a position to recruit new beneficiaries as per client’s request within the specific sectors that the client requires.
FACILITATE TRAINING OF BENEFICIARIES
Uthingo has curated and created a repository of training material taken from various qualifications to ensure that beneficiaries are equiped with the necessary skills andknowledge to manage their business to its full potential.
This training initiative is run on an online e-learning platform and the beneficiaries are able to clock up hours of training for the purposes of quantifying the B-BBEE contribution.
MANAGE GRANT DISTRIBUTION
Clients’ ESD funds can be distributed in the form of grants for various business scaling initiatives for qualifying beneficiaries. Uthingo can provide this service managing the administrative requirements as well as monitoring the usage of such funds by the beneficiary.
WE PROVIDE ALL RELEVANT VERIFICATION DOCUMENTATION
Uthingo will ensure that all B-BBEE verification requirements are met from the initiationof the initiative to end, whilst maintaining a repository of all relevant verificationdocumentation for a smooth B-BBEE verification.

Beneficiaries that are qualified and assisted by Uthingo will have access to professional 3rd party service providers to assist with, legal, finance, tax, sales and marketing etc.

Beneficiaries will have access to an e-learning platform which will facilitate training on various business management related topics including but not limited
to, budgeting, project management, employee relations, marketing for small
businesses and risk management. Face to face consultations will also be provided to beneficiaries to assist with common business issues.

BUSINESS EMERGENCY HOTLINE
Beneficiaries are able to call the Uthingo hotline to log a business query that they
are having trouble solving this query will be attended to by the relevant
professional that can assist with the specified isssue.

ACCESS TO BUSINESS FUNDING
Beneficiaries will have access to funds in the form of grants that are contributed by Uthingo clients to assist in the growth and sustainability of
their business.
